イセエビ類プエルルスの生理・生態に関する実験的研究

研究概要

1.変態プエルルスの作出 平成4年度の孵化群からPanulirus japonicus2尾、Jasus verreauxi 8尾の変態個体を得ることができた。J.edwardsiiおよびPalinurus elephasについてもそれぞれ5,2尾が最終令の前段階まで到達したが停電事故のため死亡。
2.幼生の飼育条件 Nannochloropsis sp.100〜500万細胞/ml、アムモニア態N1.4ppm以下、COD1.2ppm以下、細菌数10^3〜10^5FU/mlで飼育した結果フィロゾーマ初期(1〜3令)の生残率はJ.edwardsii、J.verreauxiおよびP.japonicusでは50%以上の安定した値が得られるようになった。しかし、P.elephasについては1〜3令の生残率は5%以下の極めて低い値にとどまっていた。水温、飼料の種類および量について検討した結果、P.elephasは水質の変化に極めて敏感で、アムモニア態NおよびCODに関しては上記の約1/2の値でも影響を受けることが明らかになった。
3.プエルルスの変態Jasusについては飼育により得られた個体、および海外の研究者(J.edwardsiiについてはニュージーランドJ.Booth氏、J.verreauxiについてはオーストラリアS.Montgomery氏)により天然採集された多数の個体を用いて生態観察を行った。プエルルスの期間水温20℃においてそれぞれ20.0、22.5日であった。水温15℃においてその期間は28.5および27.3日に延長した。高温側での致死水温は両種とも27℃であった。塩分の低下に対しては25‰まで耐えることができた。
4.プエルルスの生理 Panulirus argusのプエルルスについても組織切片の観察により中腸腺周辺に脂肪体が存在することを観察した。脂肪体の大きさはプエルルスの成長に伴って減少し、それがプエルルスのエネルギー源であることがこの種についても同様に示された。
