原爆線量評価システム(DS86)の再検討-原因の究明と新しい線量の導出-

研究概要	平成4年度の研究の目的は、(1)広島原爆で被爆した被爆資料の収集、(2)^<152>Eu/Eu比放射能決定のための放射化分析、(3)中性子の計算機コード MCNPの計算精度の確認、の3点であった。このうち(1)については西区南観音3丁目9-8の沖本進宅の鬼瓦2点がある。また日赤病院については間もなく取り壊す予定であるので、採取の準備をしている。採取予定はガンマ線測定用にタイル、中性子測定用にタイルおよびコンクリートコアの採取を考えている。(2)ついては、^<152>Euについて放射能測定および比放射能決定を継続している。^<152>Euは広島大学原医研のGeガンマ線検出器だけでなく広島大学工学部の測定装置も利用している。広島の爆心から1500m迄の地点までの70点についてコンクリート、花崗岩などについて測定し^<152>Eu/Eu比を求めた。この結果は米国の雑誌Health Physice誌に投稿中である。(3)については、すでに一部の結果をHealth Physics誌に発表済みである。それは、^<252>Cf線源を使用し、中性子の減衰剤として水、ホウ素を含むポリエチレン、花崗岩、塩化アンモニウムの粉末の4種の材料を使用し、中性子の検出に、^<197>Au、^<58>Niそれぞれ熱中子吸収、(n、p)反応による速中性子の検出をする実験であった。中性子の減衰は、1/1000から1/10000まで達し、この減衰は広島原爆では爆心から1500m以上の距離に対応する。また減衰剤の内で花崗岩は、元安橋に使われていたものであり、元安橋の橋柱内の^<152>Eu/Eu分布をコンピュータで解析する場合の計算精度を確認するためである。このときの計算には、Monte Carlo Code Neutron and Photon Transport Code System(MCNP)を使用した。結果は驚くべきことに15%以内で実験と一致した。この研究はさらに進め、減速剤にアクリル、ナイロンを使用し、検出にインジウムを追加した実験を行っている。
