研究概要	昨年度に引き続き、スバールバル諸島のニーオルスンで、北極層雲、大気微量成分、フィヨルド海洋構造・融雪氷流入等の観測を実施するとともに、ノルウェー船にて、グリーンランド海北部における海洋観測を行った。雲・降水については、マイクロ波放射計と垂直レーダの観測を継続している。レーダエコーの出現頻度は平均40%と、通年余り大きく変らないのに対し、目視による観測では、夏8-9月に雲量多く、冬12〜1月少い結果となっている。エコーの出ない粒径の小さい雲が多いという夏季北極層雲の特徴が明らかになった。さらに、今年度は極夜期のエアロゾル・雲・降水の集中観測も実施し、低いエコーからの降水が認められ、低温域に特徴的な雪の成長機構が示唆された。ニーオルスンでの長年の放射収支観測データの解析を行い、夏は地表面に雪がなく、雲が多く変動の少ない放射収支であるが、日射のない冬は、長波長放射が大きく変動し、北極気団と湿潤で温暖な海洋性気団の影響の違いであることが明らかになった。コングスフィヨルドにて、春季の海氷融解直後の海洋鉛直構造と海洋基礎生産生物の野外調査を実施。海洋表層における基礎生産生物量は開水面出現直後に最大に達すること、この時期には、すでに水深20m〜100mに低温層が顕著に発達し、表層の高温・低塩分層、深層の高温・高塩分層が鉛直混合しにくくなっていることが観測された。さらに、融解水の河川からの流入、融雪のメカニズム等の観測も合せて実施した。グリーンランド海では、4〜5月、氷縁近くでの海洋構造と二酸化炭素交換の観測を実施した。この結果昨年度までとは異って、海水中二酸化炭素分圧が前半には高く(それでも大気に比低い)、途中から急激に低下する現象を捉えた。日射量増大に伴う海水中生物活動の活発化と対応する変化と考えられる。
