研究概要

本研究では、脳構造化スーパーコンピュータのモデルの構築とその構成要素の研究を目的として、スタンフォード大学と共同研究を行うことを計画した。このために開かれた主な研究連絡会議は、スタンフォード大学で6回、東北大学で4回である。これらの研究連絡会議では、研究協力者が適宜討論に参加した。研究計画の項目毎の実績を以下にまとめるが、本年度はこの他にも、LEFTコンピュータに関するコンピュータアルゴリズムの論文5編、計算機ネットワークの論文2編、設計支援システムの論文2編の実績を得ている。1.ジェットパイプライン:ジェットパイプラインのためのCコンパイラの作成とレジスタファイルの設計を行い、キャッシュメモリの新しい管理方式の論文を公表した。2.脳構造化スーパーコンピュータのモデル:計算機設計の種々の手続きを体系化することによって、従来統一見解が確立していなかった計算機アーキテクチャを、計算機の設計概念として定義した。所謂ハードウエアとソフトウエアのみならず、計算機の使用形態を含めた計算機アーキテクチャの全貌に関する論文を発表予定である。3.バイノ-ラル音源識別用CMOSと過疎分散方式メモリ(SAM):スタンフォード大学側の事情により、当初の研究計画である波状パイプラインの代わりにバイノ-ラル音源識別用極微小電力アナログCMOSチップに関する論文を2編公表した。SAMについては、その応用と性能評価についての論文を2編公表した。4.記号の超並列処理:記号の超並列処理システムの人工知能への応用と、λ算法の並列処理に関する論文を各々公表した。5.RIGHTコンピュータの構築:イメージ処理に関して3編、右脳のモデルに関してパターン認識、音声認識、学習法、連想メモリの応用など9編の論文を公表した。
