研究概要	放射能被曝による継世代発がん、特にF_1での腫瘍発生に関しては、従来のマウス肺腫瘍に加えて、252^<Cf>中性子を用い、B6C3F_1マウスにヘパトーマ(渡辺)が、X線を用い、LT,N5マウスにリンパ性白血病(野村)が有意に高率に誘発されることが確認された。特に^<252>cf照射実験では、昨年度における精子期照射のみならず、精原細胞期0.5Gy照射でも6/20(30%)と対照射1/31(3%)に比べ、10倍の頻度でヘパトーマが発生した。N5系統でのリンパ性白血病発生もX線5.04Gy精原細胞期照射により9/229(3.9%)と、対照群1/244(0.4%)の約10倍となっている。英、EC、米につづいて、カナダも追試を開始したいとの要望があり、必要なマウス等資材を供与した(野村)。ヒトにおいては、広島、長崎被爆者のF_1調査を1989年(発症年齢42才)まで追加したが、白血病、悪性リンパ腫の有意な増加は見られていない(馬淵)。しかし、セラフィールド核燃料再処理工場従業員の子供における白血病多発については、英国政府機関の追加調査により有意な増加が確認されている(1993年10月発表)。ヒトについては、致死率の低い癌症例と多因子性疾患を含めた成人期の調査が必要である。佐々木は、遺伝性網膜芽細胞腫患者196家系について調査し、染色体突然変異の頻度が20%あり、そのうち突然変異の親の起源が調べられた17例のうち実に16例が父親起源であった。精子被曝の高感受性が示唆される。藤堂は、紫外線による発がん・遺伝子突然変異の主因であるDNA6-4光産物を特異的に修復する新酵素を発見した。
