ヤング・ミルズ接続の量子化

研究概要	ヤング・ミルズ接続の量子化の問題に付随する様々な変分問題について、下記のような結果を得た。 (i)ヤング・ミルズ接続については、コンパクト強擬凸多様体、特にリーマン面上のS^1束、上のヤング・ミルズ接続のモジュライを決定した。 (ii)調和写像については、群同変な調和写像の理論を展開し、その構成・分類を行った。この結果、球面、複素射影空間、及びそれらの非コンパクト型双対空間などから、自分自身への新しい調和写像の興味ある例を構成した。 (iii)極小曲面については、それらの安定性を調べ、体積の第2変分から得られるヤコビ作用素の本質的スペクトルを完全に決定した。以上のような様々な変分問題に関する一般論と、関連する幾何の興味ある問題の総合的にまとめて、アメリカ数学会より、1冊の単行本として出版した。
