研究概要	平成5年度から7年度にかけて実施された重点領域研究「多価イオン原子物理学」の全体の研究計画に関して、成果のとりまとめを行った。今年度行われた具体的研究実績は以下の通りである。 1.平成8年9月23〜26日に大宮市大宮ソニックシティ国際会議場において「多価イオン物理学国際会議」(組織委員長粟屋容子)が開かれ、国内外から約200人が出席した。その中で、本領域に関係する研究者(大学院生を含む)が約80人出席し、研究成果の発表を40件以上行い、この国際会議を盛り上げ、多価イオン研究の日本での隆盛に世界の注目を集めた。 2.昨年度に引き続き、多価イオンの関与する基礎的過程について、若手研究者向けのレクチャーシリーズを開催し、講義ノートをとりまとめ、まもなく出版する。 3.各研究項目に対し成果のとりまとめのための小研究会を開催した。
