研究概要

1.電子ビーム形多価イオン源(EBIS)を設計し、一部を製作した。高エネルギー・大電流密度の電子ビームを形成するために、最適な磁場・電場分布を計算機シミュレーションにより求め、それらに適合する超電導コイル・電極構造などを設計した。用いられる電子ビームは最大300KeV、300mA、径100μmであり、超電導ヘルムホルツ・コイルを用いて得られる磁場は最大4.5T、電子発生部の陰極表面で磁場のない領域を得るため、打消しコイルが設置される。生成された多価イオンをイオン源内に長時間トラップするためには超高真空が必要で、そのためにコイル用液体ヘリウムを過冷却し、容器表面を2.5^0Kにするための機構を開発した。
2.多価イオンの分光学的観測のための準備研究を行った。
1)波長可変レーザーシステムの開発
OPO型レーザーを導入し、300-2000ナノメーター領域を掃引できるシステムを組立て、多価イオンの誘起蛍光観測のための準備を行っている。
2)X線検出用ガスカウンターの設計・製作
位置検出用マルチワイヤー型のガス・プロポーショナル・カウンターを設計し製作の準備を行った。
3)可視・真空紫外分光器の改造
分光器出射部に位置検出用カメラ・アタッチメントを取り付けられるように既存の分光器を改造した。
3.EBIS運転制御用システムの開発
運転制御用計算機プログラムを作り、約20種の電源を駆動させ、各種計測器からのデータを処理するための総合的なシステムを開発している。
4.多価イオンの原子構造計算用プログラムの開発
ワークステーションを導入し、複雑な計算を行うための計算機コードを作成した。
