研究概要

1.Al耐性を異にする植物種の原形質膜および液胞膜のイオンチャンネル機能とAl排除能およびAl集積能との関係を明らかにするための手法を確立した。また、圃場系におけるAl耐性が水耕系におけるそれより高い作物が存在することを明らかにした。 2.タバコ培養細胞にリン酸欠乏処理を加えることによりAl耐性が誘導され、この細胞は高いAl排出能を示した。さらにリン酸欠乏およびAl処理により合成、分泌が増加する特異的タンパク質の存在を明らかにした。 3.Al耐性を異にする3植物種とイオン電位が異なるAl^<3+>,Yb^<3+>,La^<3+>,Ca^<2+>,を用いて多面的解析を行なった結果、Al^<3+>の初期作用座は根端細胞の原形質膜であることを明らかにした。 4.個体植物と培養細胞のAl耐性順位はほぼ類似し、Al耐性の高低は各細胞の呼吸速度と対応することを明らかにした。 5.低pHとAlに対するアルファルファ根の応答を別々に検討した結果、低pHではすみやかに根細胞の生存活性や根の伸長能力を失ったが、Alでは長時間保持されることを認めた。 6.Al耐性が高いチャの根ではAlストレスによってカロース合成の促進を示さないのに対し、Al耐性が低いクレスではカロース合成が促進された。 7.強酸性の茶園土壌から始めて耐酸性・耐Al性の特異的微生物を分離した。これはフラボバクテリウムの新種と考えられた。本菌はAlを吸着、吸収し、培地のpHを上昇させた。この菌はAl耐性に関わる分子生物的基盤の確立のためのよい材料になると考えられる。 8.シロイヌナズナのAl耐性変異種を得るため、エタンメタンスルホン酸で突然変異誘起処理を行いM2種子を得る一方、Alに対するシロイヌナズナの生育反応を検討した。 9.交換性Alに富む土壌を供試して、交換性Alとリン酸イオンの反応を検討した結果、リン酸源がH_2PO_4^-である場合には交換座にAlH_2PO_4^+として保持される可能性があると推定した。
