研究概要	HTLV-I tax遺伝子の病因遺伝子とその特性を次の点より明らかにした。 1)正常滑膜細胞にtax遺伝子を導入したところ強力な増殖能を獲得するとともに正常の細胞増殖に必要なプロトオンコジーンやサイトカイン遺伝子の発現を誘導した。 2)tax遺伝子を導入した滑膜細胞の系においてclass II分子及びCTLの誘導が確認された。この事実はtax遺伝子が滑膜細胞を免疫の標的細胞に誘導することを初めて明らかにしたものである。 3)RA滑膜細胞や関節滑膜の浸潤T細胞に抗Fas抗体の感受性が存在することを明らかにした。 4)RAの滑膜固有細胞に単クローン性の細胞集団が存在することを明らかにしその細胞株を樹立した。
