ミリ波・サブミリ波帯二次元イメージングアレイによるプラズマ診断

研究概要	1.準光学素子を用いた周波数70GHz帯干渉光学系に4×4素子検出器を適用し、二次元イメージ測定システムを構成した。受信方式は二台の独立した発振器を持つヘテロダイン方式で、発振器の差周波数はPLL回路を用い安定化されている。またトラッキング方式を併用することにより、従来からの周波数455KHzの位相検波回路を使用することが可能となった。 2.本システムをガンマ10プラグ部プラズマに適用し、閉じ込め電位形成時のプラグ部密度分布の測定に成功した。干渉計としての空間分解はアンテナ開口と光学系の倍率で決定され、半径方向2.7cm、軸方向2.5cmである。これは誘電体ターゲットを用いた校正実験でも確認された。一方、測定の位相分解は1/(200)フリンジに達した。 3.二次元イメージ法システムをヘテロダイン受信機として電子サイクロトロン放射測定にも適用した。光学的に薄い正常波モードおよび異常波モード放射信号の比から、ECH印加時のプラグ部プラズマの高温電子および超高温電子成分の絶対値の二次元分布導出に成功した。また、二点での信号の相関測定から電子温度揺動の情報も得た。本実験はECEイメージングの初めての適用例となった。 4.ミリ波-サブミリ波の高周波領域への適用のため、アンテナ、ダイオードが一体となったモノリシック形検出器の設計に着手した。 5.本研究で製作した二次元検出器が、文部省核融合科学研究所のヘリカル装置CHSのECEイメージング測定にも適用されることになった。また、研究代表者が中心となり、プラズマ・核融合学会誌に「ミリ波・サブミリ波計測の基礎と応用」のテーマで平成7年1月号より講座を開始した。プラズマ計測のみならず地球環境観測、宇宙観測まで含めたもので、二次元イメージングの応用などが先端技術として記述される。
