研究概要	1.研究背景がん遺伝子の発見をきっかけに、がん研究は遺伝子の時代に入り、欧米のがん研究先進諸国を中心に激しい研究競争を繰り広げている。地理的に隔離されているわが国の研究者は、研究者との直接の討論、情報、資料交換に自ら制限があり、ともすると孤立しかねない。この問題点を克服するため、わが国の第一線の研究者を積極的にがん研究先進国に送る必要がある。本研究は、ヨーロッパのがん研究先進諸国との研究交流を目的に組織された。特に、日独、日仏の2国間がん研究交流を中心に運営している。 2.日仏がんワークショップ 10月3〜5日の3日間、フランス・ニ-ス市郊外において、がんの分子生物学をテーマにワークショップを開催した。日本側から、山本、清木、田中、秋山、西田、大野の7名を派遣した。 3.日独がんワークショップ 10月26〜29日、京都において細胞内輸送をテーマに日独ワークショップを開催した。ドイツ側から10名、日本側から14名の発表を行った。 4.その他: 急速に進展する研究に対応し、最新の情報を入手するため、12名の若手の第一線の研究者をヨーロッパの先端研究室に派遣した。派遣者名および研究テーマは次の通りである。前田浩(がんの化学療法)、斉藤隆(免疫学)、増井徹(細胞生物学)、千田和弘(細胞生物学)、野田哲生(分子生物学)、榎本克彦(病理学)、湯浅保仁(分子生物学)、安井弥(病理学)、伊庭英夫(ウイルス学)、野瀬清(生化学)、菅沼雅美(生化学)、中野明彦(細胞生物学)
