研究概要	収縮環形成のシグナル伝達の候補、低分子量Gタンパク質Rhoに関しては、分裂酵母rhol^+遺伝子の破壊やRhoを失活させるC3酵素の遺伝子導入を行い、rhol^+が必須であることを見いだした。もう1つの候補であるミオシン軽鎖のリン酸化については、分裂中のウニ卵細胞内ではCキナーゼ部位のリン酸化はみられず、ミオシン軽鎖キナーゼ部位のリン酸化のみが検出された。同時にミオシン軽鎖キナーゼの精製を行い、2成分の酵素を精製した。シグナル伝達の構造的基盤と考えられる星状体微小管は終期に初めて表層に届き、赤道部で交差すること、微小管が短いと分裂溝が形成されないことなどが分かり、微小管がシグナルを仲介するという考えを支持した。分裂変異遺伝子の解析は、テトラヒメナのp85遺伝子のクローニングを行い、このタンパク質がCa^<2->/CaMキナーゼIIのCaM結合部位、EFlaのC末端部分、アクチンの一部、Ser/Thrキナーゼの配列などと相同性を持つ、多機能タンパク質であることが分かってきた。細胞性粘菌からREMI法で得た変異遺伝子はRasGAPをコードしていることが分かった。アフリカツメガエル卵の変異タンパク質の解析も進み、このタンパク質がゲル濾過で2000kDを示すことが分かった。また分裂におけるアクチン調節タンパク質コフィリンはアフリカツメガエル卵の分裂期には脱リン酸化型(アクチンと結合能を持つ)になっており、分裂溝の先端部分に局在すること、卵内にコフィリンそのものや抗体を注入するといずれの場合も細胞質分裂が阻害されることが分かり、このタンパク質が重要な役割を持つことが判明した。アクチン繊維を細胞膜に結合させると考えられるERMファミリータンパク質は細胞膜タンパク質の塩基性に富む領域に結合することが分かった。
