研究概要	特定領域研究「造血幹細胞制御と臨床応用に向けての基礎研究」は平成6年度から平成9年度にかけ、4年間にわたって行われ、多くの成果をあげて終了した。本研究は、この特定領域研究であげられた成果を総括するとともに、記録して残すことを目的として行われた。研究成果発表論文リストなどを印刷するフォーマットを定め、特定領域研究「造血幹細胞制御と臨床応用に向けての基礎研究」の計画班員と公募班員の全員に配布し、研究成果と研究期間中の論文リストも班員から回収し、集まったところで印刷し、冊子をつくった。すべての班員と、本研究に興味を持つと思われる班員以外の個人と団体に冊子を配布する。本特定領域の最終ヒアリングが行われ北村、金倉と新井の代理として横田(東大医科研教授)が出席した。本特定領域では4年の研究期間の間に、impact factor20以上の広い範囲で読まれている雑誌に延べ55人の班員が著者になり、impact factor20-10のある程度広い範囲で読まれている雑誌に延べ129人の班員が著者になり、血液専門誌でもっともimpact factorの高いBlood(impact factor,9.745)には延べ183人の班員が著者になり、その他のimpact factor5以上の雑誌には205人の班員が著者になったことを述べると、評価委員の諸先生からもよくやっているとの御意見をいただいた。本特定領域研究の終了後、平成10年度より須田年生教授を代表者として特定領域研究「造血システムにおける自己複製と分化機構の解析」が発足しており、造血幹細胞研究が持続的に発展していることはよろこばしい。
