研究概要

平成6年度から平成9年度まで実施された重点領域研究「植物の可変的な器官プランの分子的基礎(略称;植物器官プラン)」では、植物個体成長過程での代謝機能発現や形態形成に関わる制御因子遺伝子を、従来の手法に加えてモデル植物での分子遺伝学的手法を積極的に導入して同定単離し、機能と形作りの制御機構を突然変異株や制御因子遺伝子のトランスジェニック植物を用いて解析し、多くの成果を挙げてきた。成果の一端は主催公開シンポジウムや各種学会等での共催シンポジウムで公開し、平成9年度には「大学と科学」公開シンポジウム「植物の生長-遺伝子から何が見えるか-」において広く一般にも公開した。本研究では、研究成果を今後のこの領域の一層の進展に最大限生かすために、4年間の活動とそこで得られた研究成果を、重点領域研究「植物器官プラン」の幹事会を構成した総括班研究代表者、研究班代表者と主な研究分担者の計6名が中心となって点検総括し、終了ヒアリングに望んだ。
また、関連研究者を招いて討論会を実施し、領域研究で得られた研究成果を取りまとめて、発表論文リスト、主要発表論文別刷りを含む研究成果報告書の形で印刷作成し、班員および関連した研究者に広く配布した。
