研究概要	ヒストン遺伝子のOctを含む3種の複合エレメントのいずれも細胞周期のS期特異的な転写を規定しうるが、個体の部位によってそれぞれ個性ある発現パターンを示す(飯)。ABA応答性転写因子Vp1の作用にはG‐boxとCE3配列の両方が必要で、前者にはGBF型bZIP因子が作用する(服部)。ABA誘導性のATMYB2はリン酸化によりDNA結合活性が失われることを明らかにし、転写活性化およびその抑制に関するドメインを同定した(篠崎)。糖誘導性CDPK cDNAの組換えタンパク質に対する抗体によって、未熟葉から葉の成熟に伴って減少し、糖によって誘導される可溶性57 kDaタンパク質が検出された(中村)。メチオニンを過剰蓄積して種子タンパク質遺伝子の発現に影響を与えるmto1変異は、メチオニン合成酵素遺伝子の5'‐非翻訳領域中に同定され、変異は転写後の翻訳制御に関与することが示唆された(内藤)。シロイヌナズナでは糖に応答して側根形成が促進され、その種々の糖に対する応答性と、糖応答性遺伝子発現に異常が見られる変異株では糖による側根形成促進にも異常が見られることから、側根形成のいずれかのステップに糖応答性遺伝子発現制御が関与することが示唆された(中村)。タンパク質の液胞輸送にV‐type H^+‐ATPase 様活性が必要であることを明らかにし、小胞融合に関わるNSF ホモログcDNAを植物から始めて単離した(中村)。光抑制される低分子量Gタンパク質PRA2は伸長する茎や登熟種子コートで強く発現し、液胞肥大に関与すると推定された(佐々木)。液胞プロセシング酵素は液胞内プロテアーゼのプロセシングに関与し、その遺伝子発現は死に至る細胞で強い(西村)。
