研究概要

本領域はがんの生物学的特性を明らかにすることによって、がんの診断、治療に貢献することを目的とする。細胞増殖・分化、細胞死(研究項目A01);細胞の構造と機能(A02);細胞間相互作用(A03)など生命科学のもっとも基本的な問題、およびがん浸潤・転移(A04);ヒトがんの特性(A05)などのがん固有の問題が本領域での研究対象となる。本年度は以下の研究活動を行った。1)総括班は上記5項目について研究が進展するよう調整した。2)6回の総括班会議を開催した。3)平成9年度計画班として研究(1)3班(研究項目;G蛋白、上皮細胞、転移)、研究(2)4班(研究項目;SK、TNF、Rb、細胞接着)を設定した。4)がん生物領域ワークショップを12月5、6、7日の3日開催し、全代表者が発表した。5)がん重点の他の領域総括班と協力して、平成8年7月および平成9年2月に、シンポジウムを開催した。6)がん生物領域の重要課題について総括班員が研究を行った。
