研究概要

1.がんの生物学的特性を明らかにすることは、がんの診断、治療のための最も基本的な事項である。総括班は次の5項目について研究を計画をし、研究が進展するよう調整した。
(1)細胞の増殖・分化、細胞死 (2)細胞の構造と機能 (3)細胞間相互作用 (4)浸潤・転移 (5)ヒトがんの特性 平成9年度「がん生物」領域には総括班と92の研究班が成立した。平成9年度からは研究(1)公募がなくなり研究(1)は計画のみとなった。予算の約50%は研究(1)に、68%が計画研究に配分されたことになる。班数の50%はA01.「細胞の増殖・分化・細胞死」に関するものであった。
2.平成10年度計画班として研究(1)2班(研究項目;シグナル伝達、胃がん遺伝子)、研究(2)4班(研究項目;細胞分化、増殖因子、がん抑制遺伝子)を設定した。
