研究概要	研究計画調書には高エネルギー物理学研究所で建設中のBファクトリーで観測可能な現象について検討すると述べたが、この研究はほぼ完成した。従って次の課題小林・益川模型以外の模型について研究が進められている。クォークの質量の起源について超対称性をもつ大統一理論の枠内でGeorgi‐Jarlskog質量行列を研究した。その結果この行列はクォークの質量については実験を再現できるがKM行列要素について実験と矛盾することが明らかになった。この結果は今後正しい質量行列を導く大統一理論を検討するにあたり、重要な結果である。大統一理論のエネルギースケールでの質量行列に位相がどのようにして導入されるのか理解するのも今後の重要な課題である。電弱対称性の自発的破れの研究も前進した。トップクォークの発見により理論的可能性に強い制限がつけられた。テクニカラー理論は困難な状況にあることが明らかになった。高エネルギー物理学研究所ではニュートリノビームをスーパー神岡測定器に飛ばし、ニュートリノ混合実験の可能性について検討している。本研究班もこの可能性につき理論的解析を行った。今後太陽ニュートリノ問題と結びつけて検討していく。研究代表者三田は1994国際ワークショップB中間子の物理を名古屋国際会議場で主催した。50名の外国人を含む225名が出席し、DCレベルの若手研究者も20名出席した。本研究班のアクティビティーが全国の若手研究者に影響を及ぼしたのではないだろうか。平成7年度は夏休みを利用してアスペンタイプのワークショップを企画している。御岳名古屋市民休暇村で3週間にわたり以下の4課題で開催する予定である。1)対称性の自発的破れ2)大統一理論3)標準模型と標準外の模型4)Bの物理。それぞれのワークショップの世話人も決まり具体的に動き出している。
