研究概要	本総合研究は、電子移動に関する有機反応化学、触媒化学、生体機能反応などの諸分野の研究者が、個々の研究概念を総合的に融合し、電子移動過程を制御する複合ハイブリッド化を目標とするものである。この目標のために、本研究は種々の機会を有効に活用し、各分野の相互理解と融合を図った。第18回EOC討論会(平成7年6月)、有機電機化学の新展開シンポジウム(平成7年6月および12月)には本研究分担者の多くが参加し、電子移動過程の諸側面に関する理解を深めた。平成7年11月には本総合研究の公開発表会を開催し、有機合成化学、反応化学、生体機能化学、触媒化学の諸分野と電機化学の融合の場となった。研究課題としては、1)界面修飾による複合電子移動系の開発、2)触媒-電極複合系による分子変換、3)生体反応-電極反応複合系による分子変換である。これらの課題は電子移動をキーワードに相互に関連しており、複合ハイブリッド化することにより選択的分子変換や機能増幅系の構築が可能になる。電子移動触媒系としては金属錯体、芳香族化合物など多種類のキャリアーが可能であり、選択的分子変換への応用が示された。また、酵素との複合電極を用いる電子移動系では、選択的センサーへの応用が例示された。電子移動過程の制御についてはかなりの進展がみられ、各分野の融合のための基礎作りは達成された。今後の発展が期待されよう。
