研究概要

微生物の感染や生物的エリシターに対する植物の応答現象を軸に、異物認識、シグナル伝達、遺伝子発現ならびに新規代謝変動を細胞個別単位およびその応答との関係で生じる全身的シグナル伝達と応答に関して、前年度の成果をさらに深め次のことを明らかにした。
1)イネ懸濁培養細胞は糖質エリシターを認識し、速やかにオキシダティブバーストを起こすが、そこにはOHラジカルが存在し、各種のタンパク質リン酸化が関与する。2)植物細胞にCa^<2+>依存タンパク質リン酸化酵素が存在し、刺激応答にこれが関与する可能性がある。3)シャジクモ細胞の機械的刺激により、受容電位が発生し、これが閾値に達すると活動電位が発生する。4)エリシター刺激で活性化されるホスホリパーゼA_2を精製し、その性質を調べたた結果それはパタチンであった。5)菌の感染を拒絶する植物細胞で、アクチン繊維および微小管の重合および脱重合阻害剤が、感染を受容するようになり、拒絶応答の認識・情報伝達には細胞骨格の機能およびその変動が必須である。6)細菌を認識した細胞でも非親和と親和の関係が生じるが、前者ではエリシター認識、後者ではサプレッサーによるエリシター認識の阻害系が存在する。7)オオムギ幼苗で組織の切断や菌の接種で速やかに全身的獲得抵抗性が起こり、それはまず電気的なシグナルとなり、シグナル物質が生産され内生エリシターとなって伝わる。8)エリシターを直接認識した細胞でのオキシダティブバーストは全身的に展開するが、生産されたH_2O_2が二次的刺激となって全身的な活性酸素生成系を活性化させる。その活性化過程にもCa^<2+>シグナリングが関与している。
