Bowl型分子キャビティの構築とその高反応性化学種安定化への応用

研究概要	反応場を適当に制御することにより、関与する反応種の構造・寿命などを自在に変化させたり、期待する反応のみを選択的に進行させたりすることは、有機化学の究極の目的の一つである。本研究では、Bowl(お椀)型の三次元的キャビティを持つ分子(これを本研究ではreaction bowlと呼ぶ)をシクロファンあるいはカリックスアレーン骨格に橋かけをして合成し、それを用いてこれまで合成が不可能であったいくつかの高反応性化学種(特に二量化、多量化が不安定性の要因であった化学種)を安定化・単離することを目的とした。まず、二環性シクロファン骨格系のBowl型分子の合成を行った。オルシノールを出発物質として橋かけ部分を合成し、脱保護後ジフェニルメタンユニットをつなげてBowl型分子を合成した。また、橋かけ部分のCH_2とOとを入れかえた分子も同様の方法で合成した。ジフェニルメタンユニットにメチル基を導入し、お椀の縁にメチル基を持つBowl型分子を合成した。次にカリックス[6]アレーンを出発物質とし、これに橋かけユニットを反応させ、ついでO-メチル化することにより不安定官能基の前駆体となる種々の官能基を持つBowl型分子を合成した。またこれらBowl型分子の構造をX線決勝解析、NMRスペクトルなどにより解析し、その構造的特徴を明らかにした。このようにして合成したBowl型分子を用い、対応するスルホキシドの熱分解により、硫黄の生体内酸化の重要な中間体でありながら、単離例のない芳香族スルフェン酸の合成・単離に成功した。
