研究概要	植物ホルモンアブシジン酸(ABA)による転写レベルでの複数の遺伝子発現制御機構について分子レベルで明かにすることを目的としている。我々は先にABAにより転写レベルで誘導される2種の遺伝子のABAによる発現誘導に関与する因子が異なっていることを示唆する結果を得た。本研究ではこれら2種の遺伝子のABAによる異なった発現誘導に関与する転写制御のシス及びトランス因子を同定することによりABAによる遺伝子発現誘導の2種の制御系を分子レベルで明らかにする。平成6年度はABAによって誘導される遺伝子rd29、rd22の転写開始領域とGUSリポーター遺伝子とのキメラ遺伝子を作成し遺伝子導入し、トランスジェニック植物実験系でABAによるGUSの誘導を解析する系を構築した。更に転写開始領域に欠失を導入しABAによる誘導に関与する領域を解析し、ABA誘導に関与するシスエレメントを塩基配列レベルで同定した。さらに導入遺伝子に関して組織特異的発現について解析し、組織特異的発現に関与する調節領域とABAによる発現制御領域が独立に存在することを明かにした。シロイヌナズナのABA関連の突然変異体を用いてrd22、rd29遺伝子の発現誘導に与える影響の相違について解析し、rd29遺伝子はABAによる誘導以外の別の制御系で乾燥、塩、低温により誘導されることを明らかにした。ABAによって誘導される遺伝子発現に関してタンパク質合成を必要とする系と必要としない系の少なくとも2種の系によって制御されていることを明かにした。
