研究概要	1.ウナギを海水に移すと、血漿中の心房性及び心室性ナトリウム利尿ペプチド(ANPとVNP)濃度が一過性に上昇し、再び淡水のレベルに戻る。従って、海水に適応した後は、血漿浸透圧やNa濃度が高いにもかかわらず、血漿ANP及びVNP濃度は淡水ウナギのそれと変わらない。CNPは、ラジオイムノアッセイに問題があり、今回血漿濃度が測定できなかった。 2.淡水ウナギの血漿浸透圧をNaClやマンニトールで上昇させると、血漿ANP及びVNP濃度が一過性に約10倍に上昇した。しかし、細胞膜を通過する尿素では、浸透圧を上げてもANPやVNP濃度にほとんど変化がなかった。従って、ウナギではANP分泌を調節する浸透圧受容体があり、その受容体細胞の脱水により分泌が促進されるらしい。 3.哺乳動物では血液量の増大が主要なANP分泌刺激であるが、ウナギでは、生理食塩水で血液量を2倍に上げても、血漿ANP及びVNP濃度の上昇は小さかった。 4.ANPの主要な作用部位をさがすため、放射性ヨードで標識したANPをウナギの血液中に注射した後、全身オートラジオグラフィーで調べたところ、鰓で特に高濃度にANPが蓄積されていることがわかった。心臓、腎臓、腸にもANPが蓄積されていた。また、淡水ウナギの血漿ANP、VNP濃度を、心臓から出た血液が直接流入する腹大動脈と、一度鰓を通った後に流入する背大動脈で比べると、腹大動脈で高かった。従って、淡水ウナギの鰓は、血液中のANP、VNP濃度を調節するバッファーの役割を担っているらしい。
