研究概要

インターネットを利用した両機関の研究成果の相互参照については,双方でWWWサーバを立ち上げ,相互参照を可能にするとともに研究成果の集積が図られている。並列計算機TOPSYシステムの遠隔利用は,ネットワーク通信容量の関係で困難であることがわかったため,TOPSYを発展させた並列オペレーティングシステムであるAngelオペレーティングシステムを群馬大学の計算機に搭載し,応用システム開発のためのプラットフォームを構築中である.
並列オペレーティングシステムにおける通信,同期などの基本的な並列・分散アルゴリズムについては,ビザンチン故障に対するブロードキャストアルゴリズム,ハイパーリングアーキテクチャに関するスパナ-の生成法及びハイパーキューブへの埋め込み手法を開発した.
半導体自動設計においては,配置配線処理の並列処理による高速化を目的に,概略配線手法の検討,及び階層的な配置手法の検討と実験プログラムの開発を実施した.その結果,並列処理をベースとしてこれらの手法を実現出来る見通しを得た.また,排他的論理和を含む論理回路の簡単化アルゴリズムを開発した.このアルゴリズムは従来の式変形による逐次的なアルゴリズムと異なり並列化が可能であり,並列度に伴って解の精度が改善されるものである.遺伝情報解析については,タンパク質立体構造の類似性を調べるためのアルゴリズムを動的計画法を用いて設計し逐次計算機上に実装し,並列化についての考察を行なった.また,半導体デバイスシミュレーションの並列化に伴う問題点・アルゴリズムを検討した.
