研究概要	1.佐賀大学からは4名の研究者を派遣し,全南大学からは2名の研究者を招へいした.名人はそれぞれの研究分担課題に関し共同研究者と研究推進のための討議を行った.また,相互の大学の学生を対象としてセミナーも行った. 宮嵜,田代及び一色はサトイモ,ネギ属植物,ナスの系統分類をDNAやアイソザイムレベルで行うための技術を駆使し,それぞれの植物の起源,類縁関係について調査を行った.肥後ギクを材料とし,栄養繁殖性植物の試験管内遺伝資源保存の方法を開発した. 3.谷本は塩類ストレス下でのシチメンソウの発芽を実験系として耐塩性機構を調査する方法を確立した.塩類ストレスはベタインアルデヒド脱水素酵素の活性を高めることを明らかにした. 4.鄭甲彩はキュウリを異なった台木に接ぎ木して育成し,根部に低温ストレスを与えると樹液中のK,MgおよびATPase活性に変化が起こることを明らかにした.機構解明のために植物体の葉の気孔の行動を調査するよう準備を進めている. 5.高木はダイズ油の脂肪酸組成の異なる系統を選抜し,代謝経路の解明と系統の維持及び大量増殖の方法を検討した. 6.小島は多孔質セラミックパイプ地下給液栽培システムを開発し,水耕栽培を用いての研究の可能性を拡大した.朴華性と鄭淳柱はキクの水耕栽培のための肥料条件や培養液中の酸素濃度を検討した. 石丸は韓国産キキョウを用い,Agrobacterium感染により毛状根を誘導し,日本産キキョウの5倍以上のポリアセチレン化合物を生成することを明らかにした. 仁藤はカンキツ類の接ぎ木親和性の形態的調査を行い,細胞の自己認識は接ぎ木後3日後には起こっていることを明らかにした.
