研究概要	ペロブスカイト構造をもつモット転移系3d遷移金属酸化物およびド-ピング可能な量子スピン系の結晶合成・物質開発および物性測定を行った。特に、2重交換系Mn,Co酸化物について集中的な研究を行い、光分光、光電子分光測定によって電子構造についての重要な知見を得た。特に、Mn-O系ではスピン分極の変化によって、完全に交換分裂した伝導バンドの状態密度の移行とコヒーレントパートの成長が観測され、この系での強いスピン-電荷結合の特徴が明らかになった。また、巨大磁気抵抗効果に関連した電荷整列転移とその磁場効果については、磁場中での光分光測定、磁場・圧力下での中性子散乱およびNMR測定を開始し、詳しい知見が得られ始めた。特に、巨大磁気抵抗を伴う磁場誘起相転移に関して、電荷整列融解機構が中性子散乱等により初めて確認された。今後、更に精密なフィリング制御によって、特異なスピン電荷-格子結合による新しい物性の舞台を探索できるようになってきた。一方、スピンラダー系Cu酸化物、ハルデン系Ni酸化物などスピンギャップを有する系でも研究の進展があった。特に、スピンダラ-系銅酸化物でド-ピングによる絶縁体-金属転移が見い出された。これについても、電荷・スピンダイナミックスの両面から、詳しい物性の検討を始めた。これら、3d遷移金属酸化物への新物性(磁場誘起効果を含む)は、全世界的に関心が高まりつつあるが、本計画研究班の研究はその中で主導的位置を占めている。
