研究概要

1.レーザーアブレーションICP質量分析計にデータ処理システムを導入し、U-Pb年代測定の効率向上に成功した。大量な岩石試料について年代を測定していくためには不可欠のシステムであるが、これが稼働したことにより、今後の測定の見通しがついた。測定年代の信頼性と精度の検討を行い、実際の資料の年代測定を開始した。
2.ESR顕微鏡スキャナーや紫外蛍光スペクトルスキャナーを開発・導入し、実際の資料の読みとりが出来るようになった。また縞々を読む新しい手法、空間系列である縞々から時系列への変換、および時系列解析のためのソフトウエアの開発を進めた。
3.月-地球回転力学系の進化に関する大陸・海洋分布の影響、初期地球及び月の内部粘性の影響の見積もりを行った。太陽系天体の周期運動の精密計算、太古の縞々化石による周期のモデルとの対比、また、新たな解析法の検討を行った。
4.隕石衝突の生物絶滅周期について、気候変動や火山現象等、他の原因も考慮して、その因果関係を調査した。
5.太古における地球を想定し、地球の断層等に伴う電荷発生機構と現象の解明を行った。また電子スピン共鳴(ESR)による岩石の成分の同定実験を行った。
6.地球初期への惑星物理的束縛条件、地球形成場と原料への束縛条件等についての研究を行った。
