研究概要

前年度の構造班、ダイナミクス班の成果を生かして、また応用班の要求を容れた新規高速イオン移動固体を創製するとともに、既知イオン移動固体の物質の構造制御と新規プロセッシング技術の開発を目指した。得られた結果は以下の通りである。
1.新規高速イオンで移動固体の創製
(1)LaBaF_3-LiBaH_3系の複合フッ素化物水素化物系の固溶体を作製した。この固溶体の水素雰囲気下での導電率は500℃で10^<-2>S/cmに達し、LiBaH_3を固溶させることによってイオン伝導性が向上することを見出した。
(2)置換型灰重石型酸化物Pb_<1-x>LnWO_<4+x/2>を合成し、そのイオン伝導挙動を調べた。LnをSmとすると、x=0.1でイオン伝導性は2x10^<-2>S/cmに向上し、この酸化物はほとんど電子導電性を有しないことがわかった。
(3)ポリエーテル系のポリマー電解質について、樹枝状構造を持つ新規ポリマーを合成し、これにリチウムイミド塩を複合化してポリマー電解質を合成し、室温で3x10^<-4>S/cmというこれまでにない高い伝導率を得た。
2.高速イオン移動固体の構造制御
(1)8mol%イットリア安定化ジルコニア(YSZ)にサブミクロン以下のアルミナ粒子を分散添加して強化したセラミック材料を合成し、室温で450MPaの強度を有するイオン移動固体を得た。
(2)サマリアドープセリアをYSZに分散させる方法を開発し、これを用いた燃料電池は電子伝導性に帰因する超電力の低下を伴わずにYSZ単独を用いた場合の2倍の出力を示した。
3.新プロセッシング法の開発
(1)フッ化物錯体を合成したこれを出発物質に、その溶液内の平衡反応を用いてジルコニア、ペロブスカイト系酸化物を析出させることができた。新規な薄膜形成法として期待できる。
(2)金属塩化物と酸化ニッケルとの反応を利用する新規な気相法によりYSZ薄膜を形成する方法を見出した。
