研究概要	本研究では、雌雄両性の文化・成熟過程に関連する遺伝子を解剖吟味し、植物の生殖システムの解明を目指した。まず、生染色体を持つ植物種(アサ)に注目し、DNA構造・機能レベルでの解明を目指した。続いて、単子葉植物・双方葉植物両方の花器官の完成の遺伝子群の機能的なネットワーク、調節機構、相互作用を遺伝子レベルで解明した。最後に、花器官に関連したうちで花粉を研究の焦点に据え、雄性不稔性、花粉成熟遺伝子発現、末成熟花粉の分化・脱分化の遺伝子支配機構の解明を目的とする。研究計画の達成のために、各自発展させた成果を持ち寄り、総合的に研究討論・総括して本研究課題を遂行した。 1)花序形態形成関与遺伝子の単離と発現調節を解析した。2)MS53A遺伝子(リパーゼ)およびL12A遺伝子(GRPp4類似遺伝子)を解析した。3)雌蘂、雄蘂のホメオティック突然変異及びそれらの2重突然変異を解析した。4)Y染色体上の特異領域を明らかにする。5)融合タンパク質に対する抗体を作製した。6)テンサイの雄性不稔性に関わると想定されるミトコンドリア遺伝子を解析した。7)ノーザン解析により脱分化に特に相関性の高いいくつかのクローンを選び解析した。8)ゼニゴケ雌雄のYACまたはP1由来人工染色体(PAG)ゲノムライブラリーを作製した。9)先に見出したテッポウユリの雄性配偶子特異的ヒストン(gH2A,gH2B,gH3)のcDNAを分析した。10)ユリ花粉母細胞のタンパク質を単離した。、研究者間の連絡を密にして雄雌器官分化の全体像の理解が深化した。
