研究概要	1. アブラナの自家不和合性磯貝はBrassica rapaの花粉から、SLGに結合する物質群を単離した。一方、FDDによって、花粉で発芽し多型が認められる2種類の遺伝子群を単離した。これらはシステインに富む分子量約7kDの蛋白質であった。渡辺は、B.rapaのS9系統の76kbのSLG,SRKを含むゲノム断片中で葯・花粉で発現している2種類の遺伝子を同定した。福井はB.rapaの染色体をDNAファイバー化し、FISHによりSLGとSRKを可視化することに成功した。 2. ナシ、タバコの自家不和合性乗岡はニホンナシS3-RNaseの結晶化に成功した。タバコSl-RNaseの水銀置換結晶については2.7オングストロームの分解能までの回折強度データを収集した。またGSTとニホンナシS3-RNaseの融合蛋白質の大腸菌での発現に成功した。 3. サツマイモの自家不和合性神山はサツマイモ野生2倍体種において,S遺伝子型に特異的な柱頭蛋白質(SSP)を解析し、これが柱頭表面の乳頭細胞で強い発現すること、またS遺伝子から1.2cMの距離にマツピングされることを明らかにした。 4. 初期胚発生北野はイネ初期胚発生突然変異体を用いて遺伝解析を行い、合計12の遺伝子座を同定した。変異体のホモ型胚を培養し植物体再分化の可能性を検討した。鎌田はニンジンの不定胚および受精胚において胚発生の極く初期から発現している遺伝子(C-ABI3)およびシロイヌナズナのその相同遺伝子(ABI3)のプロモーター領域に共通して存在するシス配列と思われる配列を同定した
