格子上の場の理論

研究概要

研究実施計画に沿って、研究対象の違いに対応して、グループごとに交流をし研究を進めた。主な研究実績は以下のようである。1)計算機シミュレーションの方法を用いた強い相互作用の理論である量子色力学(QCD)に基づくハドロン物理量の計算と予言、重いフォーク系の計算、QCDでの有限温度での相転移の解明の研究を実施した。この面では、現在世界でトップクラスの並列スーパーコンピューターの能力を駆使して、世界をリ-ドする高い成果をあげた。特に、筑波大のグループによるウイルソンクォークの入ったQCDの相構造、ハドロンの散乱振幅を格子理論の枠内で非摂動的に決定した事など特筆される。2)計算機シミュレーションの方法を用いたQCDでのクォークの閉じ込め機構の解明、QCDにおける位相量(モノポール、インスタントン等)の重要性の解明についても、金沢大、広島大のグループによって精力的になされた。アーベリアン射影されたQCDでモノポールが、すべての質量の生成に本質的であるらしい事、インスタントンとモノポールの密接な関係、デュアル格子上での繰り込み群変換と繰り込み群の流れ図の解明など興味ある結果が得られた。3)格子上のくりこみ群を用いた相構造の研究も、九大-佐賀大のグループの研究で進んだ。特にテーター項を含んだ理論の相構造の研究は、国際的にも先駆的であり興味あるものである。さらに、繰り込まれた軌跡としての完全作用の研究も進んでおり、金沢のグループが進めるデュアル空間での完全作用の研究との関連が今後興味のある点である。4)超並列計算機用の最適化アルゴリズムの開発も、筑波大、金沢大、広島大のグループで精力的にされ、非常に効率的なコードが開発された。5)カイラルフェルミオンの定式化など格子理論の理論的問題の研究も、京大、九大やその他のグループによって進められた。6)格子上での量子重力の研究も測地距離という量の導入で新しい展開が進みつつある。これらの結果の多くは国際会議「格子96」等で報告され、また論文として発表された。次年度は最終年度であるので、分担者を主要な講師として、格子理論を主要な内容とする非摂動的QCDに関する討論会を組織する予定である。
