研究概要

先端科学技術の発展には、新素材の創製が重要な鍵となっており、その成果が、今後の科学技術の先導的な役割を果たすものと期待されている。無機材料の機能は、材料を構成する物質の化学組成、結晶構造のみでなく、粒界・表面を含む微細構造に強く依存する。最近、特に、高機能化と材料の信頼性向上のために、新しい構造制御プロセスの研究が緊要となっている。
本研究は、従来の合成プロセスをはってんさせるとともに、新規な構造制御プロセスを探索し、材料のナノ及びミクロ構造の解明と、材料創製の反応諸過程を明らかにすることによって、in-situでの構造制御プロセスの基盤を確立することを目的としている。
固相が関与した構造制御プロセスでは、固気反応制御による窒化ケイ素粉末の形態制御、ナノ粒子の焼結組織制御法を提唱するとともに、多面体配位を考慮した蛍光体の合成を可能とした。液相を関与させた反応制御によって、ガスセンサの複合組織化、クラスレート化によるケージ構造の創製、粒子の表面活性化、結晶中でのイオン分配制御と機能化、ナノセラミックスドープ化によるアップコンバージョン、微構造制御による超撥水性の発現、FGM化、発光機能付与、チャンネルパターン創製、低温形状付与など大きな成果が出ている。また、気相関与法では、複合多層膜の微構造制御因子の研究と構造評価に大きな進展がみられた。
これらの成果は、今後の新たな材料創製プロセスの基盤となることが期待される。
