研究概要	哺乳類(中野)、両生類(片桐、久保)、魚類(山上)、原索動物(星)、棘皮動物(野村、鈴木)、および軟体動物(灰野)を用いてそれぞれ以下の成果を得た。 (1)ブタ透明帯糖蛋白質の精子レセプターはPZP3αのAsn-67またはAsn-84に結合する中性複合型糖鎖の非還元末端のβ-Gal残基である; (2)ツメガエル卵膜のもつ精子結合活性は媒液の塩濃度およびびカルシウムに依存し、また輪卵管直部由来のトリプシン型プロテアーゼにより著しく高まる; (3)ツメガエル卵膜の主要糖蛋白質gp41はオビダクチンによりC末端がプロセシングを受けることにより受精における活性を獲得する; (4)メダカ卵膜内層のZI-1, 2サブユニット群の前駆体蛋白質のcDNAをクロン化して同蛋白質の一次構造を解明し、これをコリオゲニンHと改称した; (5)マボヤ卵膜の精子受容体候補である糖蛋白質(HRVC70)に対するポリクロナル抗体を用いて、この分子が卵巣の早い発達段階からラ発現することを見いだした; '(6)バフンウニ卵受精膜の硬化に機能するオボペロキシダーゼ(OPO)のcDNAをクローニングして814残基からなるOPOの一次構造を明らかにし、その結果から孵化酵素が哺乳類のマトリックスメタロプロテイナーゼに属することの意義が解明された; (7)海産巻貝バテイラ卵膜の主要構成分子は7kDの糖鎖を含む34kDの蛋白質である。バテイラ属7種の精子の卵膜ライシンについてcDNAに基づく一次構造を解明し、中央部40〜100残基に種特異性を担う配列があることを明らかにした。
