研究概要

本研究の目的は、希土類原子波動関数のパリティ混合度を広範囲の同位体にわたり測定し、電弱標準理論を越える各種の素粒子理論モデルの検証を行うことにある。平成7年度では、レーザー系と新型原子線発生・蛍光計測真空槽を整備し、さらに精密電磁場印可装置の組込も完了した。平成8年度の研究実績及び得られた結果は以下の通りである。
1.レーザー装置に、新たにDCM色素用循環装置と赤外波長域をカバーするチタン・サファイアレーザー変換装置を組込み、波長可変範囲を拡張した。
2.レーザーの偏光反転制御系を整備し、FM測帯波法による周波数安定化の技術開発を開始した。
3.希土類原子の近接逆パリティ準位対のコンピュータ検索結果を公表した。(J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 65 (1996) 2722及びJ. Sci. Hiroshima Univ. A60 (1996) 1)
4.Pr原子のレーザー分光を行い、多くの微細準位を発見し、その超微細構造を系統的に研究した。(J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 65 (1996) 3180に発表済み)
5.Gd原子の近接逆パリティ準位のゼーマン・シュタルク分光を行い、大きなテンソル分極率を見いだした。(小林隆 平成8年広島大学博士学位論文、及びz. Phys. D (1997)出版予定)
6.オランダで開催された原子物理国際会議ZICAP15に出席して、これまでの装置の技術開発の現状と得られた研究成果を発表した。(Proc. 15-th Int. Conf. on Atomic Phys. Zeeman-effect Centenary (1996) TuA6,A7)
7.Sm,Gd,Tm等の原子の多くの準位に対して、ゼーマン・シュタルク効果を系統的に測定中。(1997年3月日本物理学会-名古屋年会-で発表予定)
