結晶の照射効果に及ぼす電子励起および格子励起の相乗効果

研究概要

本研究では、主に格子励起を生成する軽・重イオンと、おもに電子励起を生成する高速電子をイオン加速器結合型電子顕微鏡内で重畳照射し、照射下における微細組織変化を「その場」するとともに電気的特性変化を「その場」測定した。
870Kにおいてマグネシア・スピネルに300keVO^+イオンと200keV電子を重畳照射すると重畳照射領域では格子間型転位ループの核形成・成長過程が抑制された。一方、300keVHe^+イオンと200keV電子を重畳照射すると空孔型欠陥集合体のボイドが優先的に形成された。これに対してHe^+,Ar^+またはXe^+イオンと1000keV電子を重畳照射した場合は、重畳照射領域およびイオン単独照射領域のいずれにおいても格子間型転位ループが形成され、顕著な重畳照射効果は観察されなかった。以上の結果を格子・電子励起密度およびその割合、イオンの質量に依存して変化するカスケード損傷の効果、収束電子ビーム内の電子強度分布に基づいて解析・考察した。上述の結果は、電子励起(または、はじき出し閾値以下の核的阻止能)によって誘起される陽イオンの収束電子線外側方向への拡散とイオン照射によって形成される格子間転位ループの核形成頻度の釣り合いによって説明できることを示した。
また、電気伝導度の「その場」測定から、照射誘起電気伝導度は電子励起に大きく支配されるものの、損傷量が大きくなると、格子励起効果か電気伝導度を大きく抑制すること、および、熱的に励起される電気伝導度は、これら2種類の励起効果が複雑に相乗して起こることを明らかにした。
