研究概要	本国際学術研究はフランス国立家禽研究所と当研究室との共同研究によって、とくに精子の生理機能について、これまで未解決のまま残されていた分野の解明に取り組んだものである。また、卵子に関しては、体外受精技術を開発してトランスジェニック鶏作出の可能性を追求した。今回の共同研究によって得られた成果のうち代表的なものをあげると次のようである。 1)雌鶏卵管内の精子貯留腺で生存する精子の寿命が鶏の遺伝的系統あるいは鶏の年齢によって大きく左右されることが明らかとなった。(Brillard)。 2)雄鶏用飼料の脂肪酸組成を変化させることによって、精液ならびに精子中の脂肪酸組成も変動し、さらに精子の受精能力が大きく変わることが明らかとなった。(Blesbois)。 3)鶏用飼料中のタンパク質レベルを必須アミノ酸濃度を調節することによって、精子のATP含有が変動することも明らかとなった。(藤原) 4)鶏精子を体外保存する場合、雌鶏卵管子宮液は精子に対して有害であることが確認され、これには子宮液中のミネラル含有が影響しているものと推測された(Blesbois)。 5)合成遺伝子であるMiwZ・DNAを用いた実験で、鶏精子をベクターとしたトランスジェニック鶏の作出の可能性が示唆された(藤原)。 6)鶏以外の家禽で経膣人工授精を行った場合、人工授精の方法によって雌卵管内の精子の受精期間あるいは卵黄膜付着精子数に相違がみられた(Brillard)。 7)鶏始原生殖細胞(Primordial Germ Cells:PGCs)を用いて外来遺伝子の導入が可能であることならびにPGCsの異性胚間移植によって生殖腺の発達が変化することを確認した(藤原)。
