研究概要	交流実績平成11年2月4日-10日にG・クーパー教授が徳島大学を訪問、板倉光夫教授を中心にアミリンと糖尿病、精神分裂病等との関係について検討した。また“アミリン、アミロイドと糖尿病"のタイトルで学生・大学院生の特別講義を行った。平成11年3月16日-20日には、荒瀬誠治、板倉光夫、小阪昌明の3人がオークランド大学を訪問し、研究の総括の最終的会議を開催する。なお来年度より大学院生だけでなく医学部学生の短期交換が決定された。研究実績荒瀬は、ヒト毛包の毛乳頭細胞で発現する特異的遺伝子を採取し、遺伝子解析、機能解析を行った。板倉は膵ランゲルハンス細胞の発育・機能に関与する遺伝子について、トランスゼニック、ノックアウト動物を作り遺伝子機能解析を行った。河野はHLA不一致のドナーにG-CSFを投与し末梢血幹細胞を採取、さらに抗CD34抗体を用いて細胞を順化培養し、同種末梢血幹細胞移植法を確立した。小阪は成人の血液悪性腫瘍例に同様方法を用いて治療し成果を得た。グリーンは創傷治癒へのギャップジャンクション(GP)の関与を検討し、脳では損傷後にゆっくりと起こってくる創傷拡大現象がGP発現を抑えることで抑止され、逆に皮膚の創傷治癒は著明に促進されることを見出した。クローサーらは成長に関与するテロシンキナーゼ(Dtk)のcDNAsの全配列を決め機能解析を行っている。メリリースは、動脈硬化とバーシカンやビグリカンの関係を、ヒト冠血管と培養細胞を用いて調べ、TGF-β1はこれらのプロテオグリカン産生を促進することを見出した。フランスは、胎盤とアクチビン、インヒビン、コルチコトロビン放出ホルモンの関係を研究、小坂昌明との共同で妊婦の血中アクチビン放出ホルモン量を調べ、早産の危険性との関係について報告している。
