分子超励起状態の生成とその解離ダイナミックス

研究概要

本年度は研究計画初年度であるので、交付申請書記載のとおり主として実験装置の確立に努めた。まず市販の固体表面用電子エネルギー損失分光システムに対し改良を加え、システムを確立した。改良点の中心は真空排気システムの増強、磁場遮蔽システムの最適化および気体試料導入システムの設置である。改良した装置を用いAr、H_2の電子エネルギー損失スペクトルを30〜100eVの低衝突エネルギーにおいて測定し、光学的許容状態と光学的禁制状態をスペクトル中に確認することができた。エネルギー分解能は当初の予定どおり10〜50meVを実現した。その後、解離断片からの発光と散乱電子との同時計数(コインシデンス)測定を行うため、MgF_2窓と粒子線検出器MCPからなる真空紫外発光検出器を真空槽中に組み込み、またNIMモジュールを組み合わせコインシデンスTAC計数系を構築しコインシデンス測定装置を確立した。この装置を用い、放射光実験で経験済のH_2に対して、解離断片H(2p)から放出されるライマンα光と散乱電子とのコインシデンスシグナルを得ることに成功した。今後H_2、D_2に対し一電子励起超励起状態領域および二電子励起状態領域での精密な測定を予定している。
一方電子線と相補的な関係にある放射光を用い、本研究で対象分子として予定されているO_2、N_2、CO、N_2Oについて光解離の、H_2、D_2について光イオン化の詳細な研究を行った。またC_2H_6、C_3H_8についての光吸収、光イオン化、中性解離断面積絶対値の測定を行った。
