ミクロ細孔場における光触媒活性種の分子設計

研究概要	金属ポルフィリン錯体は光合成で知られる電荷移動など特殊な機能を持ち、光触媒、光合成の人工化などのあらゆる分野に応用が期待されている。また、最近では錯体の光触媒作用とゼオライトの分子ふるい機能を組み合せるような複合触媒にも注目が集まっている。そこで本研究では、分子動力学(MD)法と量子化学計算を用いてY型ゼオライト中での金属ポリフィリン錯体の配向および電子状態について検討を行った。昨年度、MD法を用いてNaY型ゼオライト中に内包されたCo-ポルフィリンは、Co原子がゼオライトの細孔中心側に露出した湾曲構造をとることを解明した。そこで本年度は、密度汎関数法を用いて酸素分子の活性化機構を均一系のCoポルフィリンとNaY型ゼオライト中に内包されたCoポルフィリンについて比較、検討した。均一系のポルフィリンについて、酸素分子の構造最適化計算を行った結果、Co原子に酸素原子1個が配位している状態が安定であること、Co原子と酸素分子のなす角が115°の時に最安定構造をとることなどが明らかにされた。また、この時の酸素分子の電荷は-0.215となっており、酸素分子の反結合軌道への電子の流入によって酸素分子が活性化されていることが明らかとなった。均一系のCo-ポルフィリンとNaY型ゼオライト中のCo-ポルフィリンについて酸素分子の吸着構造を調べた結果、均一系に比べNaY型ゼオライト中の方が、酸素分子の吸着エネルギーが大きいこと、酸素原子間距離が伸びていること、より酸素分子に電荷が流入しているなどが明らかとなった。つまり、ポルフィリンをNaY型ゼオライト中に内包することにより均一系に比べ、より吸着酸素分子の活性化が促進されることが明らかとなった。
