研究概要	本研究は^3He-^4He混合液が有する量子的特性を活用して、400μK-900mKという広い温度域、0気圧-25気圧という広い圧力域において、^3He希薄相における^3Heの臨昇過飽和濃度を探求し、量子核形成を疑いの余地なく実証することを視野において、超低温における相分離現象の本質を明らかにすることを目的としている。 (1) BBPパラメターの温度及び圧力依存性 3He濃度を決定するためにはBBPパラメターの温度及び圧力依存性を明らかにする必要がおる。我々独自の実験及び解析手段を開発し、400μK〜400mK、0〜9気圧という広い範囲でのBBPパラメターを決定することに成功した。 (2) 臨界過飽和濃度の温度及び圧力依存性現在までに400μK〜400mK、0〜9気圧の領域で臨界過飽和濃度のデータを集積し、臨界過飽和濃度曲面の全体像が明らかになりつつある。主な特徴は (a) 約10mK以下では殆ど温度、圧力によらず一定である。 (b) 約10mK以上では温度上昇に伴って急激に増大し、現時点での測定上限温度400mKでちまだ増大の傾向を示している。 (3) 理論的考察量子核形成現象においては零点振動が重要となる。このことを考慮した高木等の理論によれば、我々の実験において10mK以下で観測された相分離現象が量子核形成によるものを考えて矛盾は生じない。定量的比較を行うには^3He-^4He混合液における第2音波の存在を考慮することが重要である。この方向での理論構築がBurmistrov佐藤によって進行中である。
