研究概要

1.30コピー以上多重遺伝子であるボンビキシンの転写調節機構を明らかにするため各ボンビキシン遺伝子の発現量の違いを明らかにするとともに転写調節領域の塩基配列を決定し、転写調節機構のモデルを提示した。また、ボンビキシン受容体遺伝子の全塩基配列を決定し、インスリン受容体と基本的構造は一致していることを明らかにした。
2.前胸腺刺激ホルモン(PTTH)の血中濃度の変動を測定し、エクジソンの分泌に先立ってその濃度が上昇していることを明らかにした。また、PTTHの分泌はムスカリン性アセチルコリン受容体を介した細胞内情報伝達が関与しており、これに関わる3種類のリン酸化蛋白質を同定した。
3.性フェロモン生合成活性化神経ペプチド(PBAN)分泌細胞の電気的活動を連続的に測定することに成功し、分泌活性の光周期変動、交尾による制御を電気信号としてリアルタイムで解析できるようになった。
4.休眠ホルモン受容体の1候補をクローニングした。休眠卵の代謝特性を明らかにするためトレハラーゼ阻害剤であるトレハゾリンを用いてグルコース欠損卵の作製に成功した。
5.カイコ無翅変異体(fl)の解析から変態時の翅原基のエクジソンの受容や細胞増殖、分化にはautocrine型の因子(fl因子)が必要であることが示唆された。また、カイコの胚発生、胚休眠に関与するEcRを含むステロイドホルモン受容体類をクローニングし、その発現量の変動を明らかにした。一方、EcR遺伝子をゲノム上にマップするために遺伝子多型が第4イントロン中に存在することを見いだした。
