研究概要	本年度は,以下の実験的および理論的研究を行なった. 実験面では,外出は,視覚野脳切片標本に光学的記録法を適用し,白質の電気刺激により生じるシナプス伝達の長期増強の時間特性と空間分布を調べ,長期増強に関してfLTPとsLTPのダイナミクスを明らかにした.酒田は,3Dコンピュータ・グラフィックスを使ってニホンザルの頭頂連合野ニューロンの反応を記録し,頭頂間溝後部のcLPS領域にある平面方位選択性ニューロンが,ランダムドットステレオグラムに反応し,両眼視差の勾配と両眼方位視差と両眼幅視差から平面の三次元的方位を検出していることを明らかにした.塚田は、海馬LTP形成のダイナミクスを光学計測装置を用いて検証するとともに,海馬神経回路への記憶の書き込みには時間的要素として過去の履歴現象,空間的要素とに"一致性"からなる時空間学習則が,学習則の文脈を作るために効果的に働いていることを示した.山鳥は,我々は,PETを用いた正常対象の脳賦活課題によって,エピソード記憶の保持過程に関わる神経基盤が記銘や再生過程に関わる神経基盤とは異なることを見出した,飯島は,嗅内野-海馬スライス標本に膜電位感受性色素を用いた光計測法を適用することによって,嗅周囲皮質(35野)に見いだされた情報伝達"ゲート"機構を解明した. 理論面では,藤井は,脳内ダイナミクスとしての動的細胞集成体の時空間構造を解明するとともに,時空間符号化原理に基づく情報統合の原理を提案した.篠本は,新皮質神経細胞の発生するスパイク時系列の統計性がオルンシュタイン・ウーレンベック過程と呼ばれる代表的な数理モデルと矛盾することを明らかにした.合原は,コインシデンスディテクタから成るニューラルネットワークのパターン分離機能および時空間パルスカオス現象を解明した.
