研究概要

本年度は,以下の実験的および理論的研究を行なった.
実験面では,外山は,混合運動刺激(MM,7.5-35%の逆方向運動を含むSM)を用い,MMとHMの脳磁図差分信号の脳内分布および主観的輪郭認知との相関を調べ,主観的輪郭認知とV2/3の差分信号は並行して変化したことにより,主観的輪郭認知の座がV2/3であることを示した。酒田は、サル頭頂葉の前部頭頂間領域(AIP野)にある手操作関連ニューロンの中に,操作目標である押ボタン等の対象全体の中での相対的位置(上・下,左・右,前・後,中・外)を識別する細胞を見い出し,これらのニューロンが対象を中心とする座標系で位置をコードしていることを明らかにした.塚田は,海馬CA3シェファー側枝の時系列パターンの刺激による海馬CA1回路の長期増強(LTP)や長期減弱(LTD)の荷重空間の空間分布をオプティカルイメージング装置によって解析し,入力時系列の高次の系列相関に依存したLTPが存在すること,複数の時系列刺激の位相情報に依存したLTP/LTDが存在することを示した.山鳥は,失語症患者を対象に意味記憶からの単語の想起を検討し,病巣部位により,カテゴリー特異的,様式特異的,方略特異的な想起障害があることを見いだした.飯島は,大脳皮質からの感覚情報が海馬に至る経路における神経伝達には,扁桃体から嗅周囲皮質への(情動性)連合性入力が制御的な機能を果たしていることを強く示唆する結果を得た.
理論面では,合原は,コインシデンスディテクタ系を構成するニューロンに着目し,ニューロンヘのパケット信号入力とニューロンの出力パルスの相関を最大にする最適な興奮性背景ノイズレベルの存在およびそのような状況で出力スパイク列が高いCv値を有することを明らかにした.藤井は,脳内における情報統合(バインディング)と主観的知覚のインディケータとして過渡的シンクロニーが局所ならびに領野間の異モダリティ間で観測されていることに注目して,過渡的シンクロニーの神経メカニズムについてニューロンのコインシデンス・ディテクター性など神経生理学的データに整合した描像を提案し,その力学系としての記述について研究した.篠本は,皮質神経細胞の発生するスパイク時系列の統計性が標準的なスパイク発生モデルと矛盾することを明らかにし,さらにその矛盾を解決する指針を示した.
