研究概要

対象の視覚的認識における恒常性と3次元視空間の特性を実験的に解析し、それぞれがどのような情報を手がかりに、どのような情報処理機構によって実現されているかを明らかにすることを目的としている。本年度は、下記の研究を得た。
(1)奥行き知覚は、両眼性のものと単眼性のものがある。線分の両眼視差情報により構成された奥行き知覚面が、単眼性の奥行きてがかり(パースペクティブ、形態)により構成される知覚面とどのように相互作用(競合、協調作用)するかを実験的に解明した。
(2)テクスチャー勾配により構成される面が複数併置されるとき、面間には相互作用が生じる。実験的解析により、相互作用が類似の空間周波数間では生じるが、異なる空間周波数間では、生じないことを明らかにした。このことから、相互作用が面知覚の形成過程より前の情報処理段階で発生することが示唆された。
(3)格子パターンのコントラストが時間的に変化するパターンを2種用意し、これらを時間的位相差をつけて両眼にあたえると反対方向に運動するパターンが透明視的に(奥行き面が異なって)知覚される。この知覚の発生する条件を分析した。この結果から、左右情報の統合が、運動方向と視差に選択的に行われることが示唆された。
