研究概要

本研究は後口動物の発生においてその体制の構築に中心的役割を果たす形成中心の機能を分子的および進化的側面から解明することを目的としている。本年度は研究の最終年度に当たるため、各研究分担者の研究を収束させ全体としてまとめるために、合宿形式の班会議を開催した。本年度に得られた主要な成果は以下の通りである。(1)ヒトデ卵の原腸形成因子を受け継いだD細胞の細胞表面に誘導物質が存在することを確認した。(2)ホヤ神経索の形成と誘導の関係を明らかにした。(3)ウニ外腸胚形成ペプチド結合蛋白質の機能解析が進んだ。(4)ウニの単離された中割球のLi処理による形成中心の誘導と魚類の卵黄細胞の誘導活性が明瞭に示された。(5)アクチビンリセプターとフォリスタチン遺伝子のプロモーターに結合する転写因子が単離された。(6)マウス原腸胚に発現し、正常胚と突然変異体で発現に差を生じる遺伝子の構造・機能解析が進んだ。(7)以上の研究に基づいて、無脊椎動物から脊椎動物への進化の過程で形成中心の分子カスケードと機能がどのように変化したかを推察することが可能になった。
