本研宛課題では新規なケイ素-ケイ素2重結合分子など、従来の有機および無機分子では発現し得ない特異な機能を有する有機ケイ素およびゲルマニウム分子を合成し、その物性と反応性を明らかにする研究を行ない、これらの特異な電子的性質を組み込んだ優れた機能特性を有する新物質群を設計・合成することを目的としている。本年度は本課題研究の最終年度であり、前年度までの成果を基礎にさらに研究を展開するとともに成果の取りまとめを行った。
1. 嵩高いトリアルキルシリル基で安定化された初めてのケイ素3員環2重結合分子としてテトラキス(トリアルキルシリル)シクロトリシレンを合成単離した。不飽和ケイ素の29-Si-NMRシグナルが対応するシクロテトラシレンよりも高磁場に現れること、また、この分子が四塩化炭素と速やかに反応して対応する1,2-ジクロロシランを生成することなど特異な物性および反応性を明らかにした。2.最小の交差共役π電子系であるドリアフルべンの合成研究を継続し、前年度までに単離に成功した4-シラトリアフルベン誘導体の単結晶化を行い、その構造をx線構造解析によって明らかにした。また、理論計算によって、シラトリアフルペンの芳香族性を評価した。3.遷移金属錯体触媒存在下でのフェニルシラン類の重合における顕著な置換基効果を見出した。4.先に開発した環状立体保護基である1,1,4,4-テトラキス(トリメチルシリル)-1.4-ブタンジイル基を導入したジアルキルゲルミレンおよびシリレンを安定に単離することに成功した。またこの安定シリレンの29-Si-NMRシグナルがこれまで知られているケイ素化合物中最も低磁場(567ppm)に現れること、このシリレンがトリメチルシリル置換基の1,2一転位によって容易にシラエデンを生成することを明らかにした。
