研究概要

自然科学・社会科学の諸分野における不確実性を有する現象解明のための数理モデルの構築とその良さを測る有効なモデル評価規準の提唱を目的として研究を推進し、以下のような研究実績を上げた。
(1)従来その良さを評価することが難しかったベイズ型予測分布モデルを、情報量、エントロピーの観点から評価するための規準構築を目的として研究を行い、種々の事前分布の探索を可能とする手法を開発することができた。その特徴は、解析的アプローチによる導出に加え、数値的アプローチによる方法を融合している点にある。これによって、適用上柔軟な汎用性の高い手法を開発することができた。
(2)カテゴリーは、構成的な数学の典型であり,その構造をコード化するプログラムが言語MLで実装されている。本研究では、その機能の評価をもかねて同じアルゴリズムをオブジェクト指向型言語に移植したものを作成した。
(3)従来の統計的検定法の数学的論理は、「差異」を検出するために構築されており、積極的に「同等」を検証できない。本研究では、2×2分割表に集約される対比較データを対象にして同等性を検証する数学的論理としてハンディキャプ法を導入し、可能な8種類の検証法を開発してその挙動を研究した。
(4)最大値ノルムの意味での解の精度保証方式に関する検討を行い、有限要素解に対する高精度のL^∞ a posteriori誤差評価を得る方法を見いだした。
(5)方程式の中に未知関数についてのフレッシュ微分が不能な項を含む場合にも、ニュートン的方法による検証が可能なことを、電磁流体の平衡系方程式を例にとって明らかにした。
(6)観測値の順位を対称群上の距離として捕らえることにより、不確実性を有する母集団の分布に依存しない統計量を構成することが出来る。この方法によりconvex sum distanceから導かれる統計量の漸近正規性を示した。
