振動数の微細構造に基づく太陽内部回転の実証的決定とその長期変動の吟味

研究概要

日震学は太陽で観測されている振動現象を用いて太陽内部の構造に関する情報を引き出そうというものである。本年度の研究の第一の目的は、最新の太陽振動の観測結果に基づいて太陽内部の音速分布を精度良く決定し、それを拘束条件として、太陽の内部構造モデルを構築する事である。星の構造の方程式を解く際に、音速分布を拘束条件として、太陽中心で光度及び質量がゼロ、太陽半径で太陽光度、太陽質量になるという境界条件を課すことにより、核反応に関係しない重元素の分布と組成比を仮定しさえすれば、解が一意に決定される。重元素の分布は一様であるとし、組成比は光球面で観測されているものと同じであるとする。静的モデル作成においては、昨年度の研究を更に拡張し、対流層までを含め,中心から表層までのモデルを作成した。これにより、太陽振動から決定される音速分布を拘束条件として、太陽モデルが作成出来ることが示された。
本年度の研究の第2の目的は太陽内部の自転構造を、中心からの距離及び緯度の関数として2次元的に決定することである。これまでは、内部深くでの自転構造はよく見る事ができなかったが、良質のデータを使って、半径が0.5太陽半径より外側の回転構造を決定できた。対流層内では、表面の自転構造と似た自転をしているが、輻射層内では、ほぼ一様に自転していること、その自転角速度は、表面の自転角速度を大きく違っていないことが明らかになった。
