インド東ガ-トグラニュライト帯の変成作用と造構史の研究

研究概要

東ガ-トグラニュライト帯中部のヴィサカパトナム周辺地域とその北方約200kmのテッカリ周辺地域を選び、詳しい構造地質学的岩石学的研究を実施した。ヴィサカパトナム周辺地域は、主として変表成岩類のコンダライトとレプチナイトからなり、チャルノカイトと花崗岩の貫入岩体が分布する。野外資料の解析の結果、この地域の一般構造は東西で、これに北北西-南南東及び北東-南西の軸面片理を持つ褶曲構造が重複していることが分かった。
テッカリ周辺地域には、変表成岩類中に特徴的なガ-ネットミグマタイト岩体が数10km直径のまとまった岩体として分布する。ミグマタイト岩類の微組織解析、造岩鉱物の微小領域分析、全岩化学組成分析の結果、ミグマタイトは周辺の変表成岩類とよく似た岩石を源岩として、その急速な非平行溶融によって形成したこと、溶融は約11kb900ACの条件で行われ、その後ほぼ等圧で温度が約650ACまで降下したことが判った。ヴィサカパトナム周辺地域およびテッカリ周辺地域の岩類には流体包有物が特徴的に含まれていることが判ったが、具体的な分析・解析は次年度に実施することになった。
ヴィサカパトナム周辺地域の重複変形事件とそれらの特徴は、従来の東ガ-ト帯の構造史に関する理解(例えばNarayanasuwamy, 1975, Yoshida et al., 1994)と整合的であり、今後さらに詳しい検討を進めることによって具体的な構造特徴を明らかにし、東ゴンドワナの他の陸片地域と対比することが可能であろう。テッカリ周辺で得られたミグマタイト化事件の実態は、従来の東ガ-ト帯における変成作用に関する理解の枠組みにはあてはまらず、今後の詳しい検討が必要である。
